Three playable characters, each with unique skill trees, weapon compatibility, and combat styles. Choose the one that fits your playstyle — or master all three.
Kliff is the most versatile of the three characters. His three skill trees allow him to adapt to any situation — offensive sword combos from the Warrior tree, defensive shield tactics from Defender, and party-wide buffs from Tactician. He can equip the widest range of weapons (1H swords, 2H swords, axes, daggers) and all armor types, making him the best choice for new players and those who want a balanced, flexible fighter.
Start with Warrior tree for early game — Heavy Swing and Whirlwind Slash clear groups fast. Invest in Defender before your first boss fight.
Pair Hwando with Insight Abyss Gears for a crit-focused build. The Speed × Crit synergy on 2H swords is one of Kliff's strongest combos.
Shield Bash can interrupt enemy ultimate attacks. Time it right and you can cancel a boss's most dangerous moves. This alone makes Defender tree worth investing in.
Kliff's Tactician buffs affect all party members. In co-op, a Tactician Kliff behind a Defender Oongka is one of the most effective duos in the game.
Oongka is the heavy damage dealer. He sacrifices speed for devastating raw power — his 2H axe swings can break enemy guards and deal massive area damage. The Destroyer tree amplifies his offensive output, while Juggernaut gives him unstoppable charges and rage-fueled survivability. He has fewer skill options than Kliff, but each hit counts twice as much. Best for players who prefer slow, deliberate, punishing attacks.
Always charge heavy attacks. Oongka's charged swing hits multiple enemies and breaks guards. Uncharged swings waste his potential.
Pair Battle Axe of the Warlord with Vigor Abyss Gears. Stamina regen is critical — Oongka burns through stamina faster than any other character.
Juggernaut's Unstoppable Charge can plow through enemy formations. Use it to reposition or to close distance on ranged enemies.
Berserker Rage increases damage output but reduces defense. Activate it when you have a healer or when enemies are staggered — not when you're taking heavy fire.
Damiane is the ranged specialist and crowd controller. She fights from a distance with bows and devastating magic — ice to freeze, fire to burn over time, lightning to stun. The Mystic tree provides healing and arcane bolts, while the Elementalist tree unleashes elemental devastation. She has the fewest weapon options but makes up for it with spell variety. Best for tactical players who prefer controlling the battlefield over charging into it.
Always keep distance. Damiane has the lowest defense — use Freeze spells to immobilize enemies before they close in. Frost Nova is your best panic button.
Elemental combos matter. Freeze a target first, then hit them with Lightning for bonus damage. Fire DoT stacks with Arcane Bolt's spirit damage.
Healing Light is the only healing skill in the game. In co-op, a Mystic Damiane is invaluable — the Elementalist tree does more damage, but someone needs to keep the party alive.
Pair Precision Compound Bow with Swift Abyss Gears. Higher attack speed means more arrows, faster spell triggers, and better DPS uptime at range.
